
THE INSPIRATION
The b.hive was created to spark creative confidence in students. By taking the b.hive to students and challenging them to solve a problem (big or small) in their community, I showed them that anyone can solve problems using the Design Thinking process and basic prototyping materials.

FUNDING
To fund this project, I applied for and received the Tutor Corps Grant, and crowdfunded $10,000 through a

I kept detailed documentation of my process, findings, and takeaways and shared them with my donors.

B.HIVE IN ACTION
I developed an original Design Thinking curriculum, working closely with mentors and teachers who could give me insight into the nuances of teaching, and then taught a weekly class to 4th graders in the Ravenswood School District beginning May 2017.
